WALT understand different kinds of severe weather.

WALT think critically about some of the effects that different weather patterns can have.

Water vapour	The gas state of water (not liquid)
continent	One of the large land masses in the world such as Australia or Africa or Oceania South America.
Met service	A knew Zealand organisations that provides weather forecast.
Southern ALPS	A range of mountain running along a large section of south island.
Erode	Worn away .
Satellites	Objects In space that go around the earth and collect information , for example ,information about weather.
Gale force	Winds between 60 and 115 kilometres per hour .
Climate	The usual weather in a place.
forecast	People whose job it is to analyse and predict the weather.
Radar	Equipment that uses radio waves to identify objects hidden by  clouds , fog ,darkness or distance.

                                     Flood

 When river and streams gets higher and higher then it goes above the edge and it turns into a flood.Then it spreads around the place sometimes it can get muddy.Heaps of people have past away from floods and it can cause damage . Floods can take 2 hours or more to end or a day or two.
