WALT: understand and explain concepts of traditional Maori time telling.

Maori people ain't following Maramataka any more.They are following the Gregorian calendar because the European people came and then they started to follow it but some still follow the Lunar calendar.

My Favorited part was when Maori made Pakeha words like Monday Maoris made it into Mone. 

Thought flow:I liked that learning about Maramataka was not the sun calendar it was the night calendar. 

Pilot Whales

Today in Literacy I learnt That pilot whales are actually dolphin


 In maths we focused on how to make a chart from how much whales were stranded in 2019.

Draft- Magic Bricks

Introducing the awesome game of Magic brick.

  Duffy was excited to see his best cousin and aunt Grace but when he got there his cousin was gaming. She was addicted to gaming And lost her tower she was dreadful and furious and she needed to calm down. Duffy said hi Sam and Sam said eh and kept playing he got bored and wore his Nana Whetus glass's and done a crazy dance and things got a little bit wicked.  Also Sam said your not allowed to wear Nana's glass's and he got dissolved in to the game. 

    Ahhh Sam where am I choose your skin oh cool I think I'm going to wear this one check out my rectangle prism muscles look at me posing . Bee Ba DI be be be block block aye Duffy look behind you the Dismantler must brake block  Dismantler . Hi Sam where am I your  in the game game said Duffy.Where is your cousin Duffy ah I cant explain what cant you explain ah mm he got dissolved in the game what he wore Nana's glass's and got sucked in and trapped and he in the hall of mirrors I told you to tell him not wear them I did . Wait it says change the blocks to cyan whats that I think its something to do with the block wait is this the colour  Sam yes switch it and make a word ...

whoa its Nana Whetu s name WHETU we had INVENTOR And WHETU that means our Nana made this game and this is her book for hacks and tricks and it say inventor on yellow and whetu on cyan  

The Great Reading Adventure Assembly

T3 Recount Practice - The Great Reading Adventure Assembly

Last Friday we had our marvellous assembly its title was The Great Reading Adventure . So we got our costumes on and we had an awesome time Arahia was Duffy and Kaydee was Scruffy we had Kiarn first as Scruffy but he didn’t know how to make his voice with more  expression. So soon or later we told Kaydee if she wanted to do it and she said yes so there was only friend one and friend three after we put the costumes on also Arahia had a red and blue T-shirt and a pink hat also a big D on her hat and T-shirt. Scruffy which was Kaydee had a baby blue colour for her T-shirt she also had a purple and blue hat and had a big capital S on her hat and T-shirt then they got in position and waited and the parents came in and then the audience came in approximately two hundred audience was there also Sir which makes it two hundred and one then they said there part one by one. Then it was Cat in the Hat and Hori had a Cat in the Hat costume but the hat wasn't that big but he still liked it as I said they done there bit one by one they put even more expression it was awesome and then it was Maui and the sun Teina was Maui and his brothers gathered around him. Also Atama was then sun and the legend was about slowing the sun down and they did. Then it was the it was Super Heroes they had a Hulk costume and Iron man all they said was hilarious jokes they were so funny but they came in with eye of the tiger song it was awesome. Soon it was the Non-fiction they had a funny song heaps of people were moving to the beat . It had Dinosaurs,Lion even space it was wicked Carrie had lots of expressions and it was fabulous. Then it was the Harry Potters I was one of the Harry Potters they came in with the Harry Potters song we walked down the aisle and waved our wands at the little Voldemort we each had a script we heard laughter and cheering and babies crying when it was my turn, I felt like my heart was pumping and I felt embarrassed and I thought that I was going to run away. Then it was the Duffy song we all sang along and I saw people doing the actions we had  a great time also I felt like I wasn't embarrassed anymore .   

New Zealand Play House

Tоday we watched a super entertaining show  was called the hare and the tortoise it was amazing we had to. Soon we got settled in and they introduced there name but I only herd Jess but then it was our time to say our names the Jess made us laugh by say all I heard was blah blah blah blah.They taught us to do this when ever we get loud they slide there hand under there other hand then they made us clap and then the show was on the road they introduced a funny name called Gorgie porgie. He introduced the race about hare or hea and the ginger bread man but you can call him the G man and that stands for ginger bread man. They had a race but before the race we had a thing to represents them so run run as fast as you can that represents  the G man and uma hea uma hea uma hea that represents the hare or hea again  and they started the race but gorgie porgie said before you go do any of you want a man kiss and then they ran away .
